(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police would like to remind families celebrating Diwali to be mindful of the increased potential for break ins and thefts of valuables during this time of year.
In past years, several break ins to homes belonging to members of South-Asian communities have occurred around Diwali. As a result, investigators believe members of these communities may have been specifically targeted during the festive period.

Massage therapist charged with Sexual Assault, police seeking other victims

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit charged a man following an investigation into sexual assaults that occurred between June and September 2023 at local massage therapy clinics. The incidents involved female victims in their 20s and 40s respectively.
Today, Niels-Jorgen ASCHENGREEN, 63 years old, of Ottawa was charged with two counts of Sexual Assault. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
