Charges laid in Mischief Hate Crime on Elgin Street

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate and Bias Crime Unit has charged three individuals following a mischief to property incident in the 100 block of Elgin Street.
At approximately 8 pm on October 29, officers attended a parking garage following a 911 call of
three individuals spray painting antisemitic, anti-black, and anti-2SLGBTQQIA+ symbols on the walls.
The three individuals, two of which were young persons, were arrested on-scene.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit has charged a young person following the theft of a vehicle Friday evening in the 3000 block of Carling Avenue.

Suspect to identify in Merivale Road Bank Robbery

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man involved in a bank robbery in the 1400 block of Merivale Road on October 21st 2023.
At 3:37 pm, a lone male entered the bank and demanded money from staff. The man attempted to break into a cash dispenser and stole money from a customer.
The suspect was described as a middle-aged white man, approximately 6’tall (183cm). (see photos)

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit is investigating an incident that occurred on October 24th at a hotel in the West end of Ottawa.
In the early morning hours, a woman agreed to meet in-person with a man that she been in contact with on-line. Once at the hotel he sexually assaulted her.
